Simple via ferrata have existed in the alpine regions for hundreds of years, modern via ferrata dates back to the beginning of alpine exploration around 1843 when a route was built in Dachstein, expanding rapidly throughout Europe. , including the first via ferrata in northern Spain, at the Pico de Midi d’Ossau in 1880. They were widely used during the First World War in the Italian Dolomites to gain territorial advantages. Later, the idea of doing via ferrata on its own merits and not as a means to access the summits was established. Via ferrata is now a mountain activity in its own right, with guides, equipment and its own rating system, according to physical difficulty and the amount of exposure required to complete it.
The suitability of the participant can be measured beforehand and the fantastic thing is that they allow you to access, climb and traverse incredible mountain landscapes without the need for previous climbing experience. Iron anchors embedded in the wall facilitate the ascension and the participant is always tied to a lifeline.
Reasonable physical fitness and a cool head are all you need to experience our different via ferrata routes, classified as having medium technical difficulty.
All the routes that we offer are fully equipped and safe. We supply all the necessary safety equipment – helmets, harnesses, heat sinks and boots; Participants only need to wear appropriate and comfortable clothing, gloves with free tips, comfortable mountain shoes, a fleece coat and a backpack to carry anything they need (we provide you with a bottle of water).
